Soothe The Savage Beast

Screams puncture your eardrums as the dense crowd around you panics, scattering like startled minnows in every direction. In the space of a blink, a ravening beast apparates from the darkness behind your eyelids and locks gazes with you. It towers over you, wet threads of spittle dripping from its impossibly sharp teeth as it snorts moist bog-stench into your face. One killing claw is raised to strike you down, but--for some reason--it hesitates.

Running will only get you gutted, so you stay stock-still. There is a feral intelligence in this thing’s dilated eyes, a hunger and a hint of fear behind its bloodlust. Can you soothe it enough to save your own life--to end a string of brutal murders before they can begin with you?
